The Table Palm (Livistona rotundifolia), also called the footstool or round-leaf fan palm, is a compact, elegant palm loved for its glossy, deeply pleated fan-shaped leaves. While young it stays neat and table-sized — a stylish pick for a bright indoor corner, office desk or shaded veranda. Care is easy: bright indirect light (harsh afternoon sun through glass scorches the leaves), water when the top inch of soil dries, and never let it stand in water. A slow grower, it is non-toxic and safe around cats, dogs and children — just keep it out of hard winter frost.
