About this plant

Chandni (Tabernaemontana divaricata), also known as Crape Jasmine or the Pinwheel Flower, is a much-loved evergreen shrub with glossy deep-green leaves and pure-white, waxy, pinwheel-shaped flowers that release a soft, sweet fragrance in the evening. Compact and easy to shape, it is a favourite for garden borders, low hedges and large pots on a terrace or veranda. Give it full sun to part shade (four to six hours of light), keep the soil evenly moist, and it will bloom for much of the year in Lahore's warm climate. One caution: the milky sap is mildly toxic if chewed, so keep it out of reach of children and pets.
